Not sure what the deal is. On page 25 of the latest catalog, it shows the same set of vents and states,
Might better give them a call to make sure. Conflicting information here.

But these vents do look good!
good luck.
"Many sports cars feature vents in strategic places to let heat escape or for cooling purposes. Now you can get that look for your F150! Fully functional, these vents require cutting your hood and fenders. These urethatn louvers come ready to paint, as a pair for your fender, hood or rockers. Sold in pairs."

Did some more digging and found this.

3dCarbon™ Hood vents are manufactured in a High Pressure Polyurethane. The vents measure 22" From Front to Rear and 11" From Side to Side.
3dCarbon's exclusive Aluminum mesh grille is pre attached to each vent. The Vents need to be prepped - primered and painted prior to installation. The installation requires cutting a hole in the factory hood, we supply a template for the location of the hole however we strongly recommend that a professional installation shop such as an automotive sunroof installer do the installation. For information on an authorized sunroof installation center in your area contact Webasto Sunroof's @ www.webasto.us (Find an Installer) No screws or bolts are required for the installation, each vent comes with 3M Double face tape.

There would have to be a hole cut, but that doesn't necessarily mean they're functional. That "mesh grille" may not be a grille at all, it may be solid like those side scoops on the older style Mustangs. It's too difficult to tell.
There was someone on here that had installed those already but I can't remember who. Someone with a red truck...Anyways, I think he said they were functional but dont' quote me on that.
The real reason I'm posting is for Banzai83, Make sure you post pics when you're done! Are they chrome or just chrome colour?

Any ideas? Roto Zip/grinding wheel with water running over the surface to keep the heat down? How would i make a template that would take the fender curve into account?
Anyone in Hawaii have a fender that i can practice on?

Does anyone know if this guy ever finished and posted pictures?
Also, how much are the actual Rover vents? I like those the best as they have chrome which would match the rest of my chrome/black look. I wanted to do this awhile ago but never did. There is no way I'd install them myself. I'd pay a body shop or aftermarket shop to do it.
I don't really care for the aftermarket ones.
