I guess you might wanna check the kick panel and make sure the green with violet stripe wire from the system is hooked to the black with blue stripe door trigger wire in the kick panel. I assume your domelight kicks on when you unlock your doors with your remote?

Thanks for this info. I need to verify these things to the dealer. I just found out that the green w/ violet stripe was hooked to a plain red wire. Maybe this is the one why I can't bring the transmitter to learning mode.

Yeah. I've never seen a red door trigger wire on a ford. My three were a black with blue stripe. The way travis had me test it was to manually latch the latch on the door and then use the roller rocker switch for the dome light bext to my headlight switch to verify door trigger. It would turn my test light on with the domelight. On my f150 there were four black/blue wires but only one worked that way.

What year/model is your truck?

It was on '05, and your right I saw three black with blue stripe though or it might be four? Do I have to transfer this fittings or do I have to return it to the Dealer? Thank you for your great information.

All good info but I still have a question, will an aftermarket remote starter still activate your personal setting such as delayed headlights upon entry/exit and memory seats?
As you well know when you unlock your truck the seats and pedals will go back to the driver setting, in my case my wife is shorter thus the the seat is all the way up.

I talked to travis @ kcautosound today about some speakers and told him about your issue. He said just give him a call. I'll post his number here since its on his website anyways. 816-868-2481. If he doesn't answer he's probably jammed under a dash or something. Just leave him a message. He's always quick to call back. He can tell ya what to look for better than me since I was going by his instructions.

I called him and he's a really nice guy, unluckily I'm too far from their area anyway if I got a chance I really endorse him for this type of situation.

Question: The older Ford (Code Alarm) Gold model (1L3Z-19G364-CA) is available on ebay at a pretty attractive price. Will this system work in the newer model F150s? Is there anything "different" that I'd have to do when wiring it in?

Thanks

Wife loves it an all I can say is "damn" with the range. I walked almost two blocks down the street I bet and the unit was still getting the signal.

Thanks for the info. I'm still debating. This is actually for a 2006 E-150. As far as I can tell, no PATS.
