Hey everyone...i know the lund hood scoops are very common on any type of vehicle but i actually like them. My dream is to have a ram air hood but what would you think if i put them on? Here is a pic of them on a similar truck and this truck is so jacked up with pointless stuff. Not mine dont worry haha

i dont think they look that bad at all.....untill you get close and see they are jsut stick ons but even then....not that bad

Im not trying to be an *** but why do you insist on spending money or 'think' about spending money on cheesy mods?

 

You may think they are chessy mods but i have to ask have you ever seen a stranger taking pictures of your truck in a store parking lot i have at least a dozen times.how many times have you been sitting at a red light and the people in the car next to you say nice truck i bet nobody has ever given your truck a second look. the hood scoops are not as good as a new ram air hood but i paid $100 for them.maybe your just a really cheap person. and besides i now have 3 snowmobiles a four wheeler and have to spend my money somewhere.when my parents both died of cancer at age 60 after saving all their money for retirement i decided f@*k putting it into the bank.and you cant take it with you.for someone not trying to be an *** you sure succeeded.by the way im taking you off my buddy list

 

i had someone in a brand new escalade stop by and say they was admiring my truck and thats before i had the rims on it...

imo if your gonna do it, do it right and get the hood. i see way to many vehicles with the stick on stuff and it just dosnt look right

But before you go ahead and make personal attacks. Yup, you're right. I am a cheap person thats why Im going with the Rize lift and spending 6,000+ on my set-up not even including new shocks, fender flares, or my sound system Im doing. But, thats not the point. I guess you haven't realized, the internet is full of opinions. The quicker you learn that the better. Next time not try to get so butt hurt.

PS: Its not hard to get compliments on a lifted truck. My 2004 F-150 was lifted and I got TOO many compliments. When I went to trade it, people were taking pictures of it. Guess where the dealer put it? Show room floor. I, myself, have never seen a USED vehicle in the dealer showroom. Anyways thats not the point. Have a good one and try not to take everything so personal. .

 

It has to be done right... I have the Roush scoop. I like it. I am going to get true ram air down the road, but, for what I paid, it looks good.

yall need to calm down who cares how much you spent or can spend on ur truck as long as you like it that all that matters. There is always somebody with more so just chill.

I hate chrome and any stickon cladding 99% of the time, it looks like an old mexican show truck...you know the ones with every Checkers/Kragen's stickon available, running boards and rear spoiler...maybe that makes me biased. I don't think I'll even fit in our showroom but the compliments are daily...just today some guy took 1/2 my lunch break talking about my truck. I've had many girls @ parties say the truck is hot...and a girl say "now thats my kind of truck" to her bf as we drove by...countless people huddled around my tires, girls like guys with money so I'd be tempted to consider a girl if she's seen my truck first...fake gold diggin b!$*es. I can't argue the perks though, it's fun @ times. Those lund scoops are not bad, better than most of the cladding I've seen. I often get a "nice truck" or conversation started at a stoplight because of it...I try to drive with my windows up as much as possible becasue of it...but I have no a/c so it's hard. I have never caught people taking pics of my truck though so you have that on me...except for Joe lol.

 

i didnt know that you could turn such a great looking truck into a complete piece of ****! I wouldnt drive that thing if you paid me. Why would you waste your money on all of that crap? Your better off going to the atm and withdrawing 2k and driving down the road and throwing it out.

 

Sad thing is it has won shows, I guarantee it.

That's a shame. It was a nice truck before all those silly Bling Bling goodies.

I'll go on record in favor of the ram air hoods. Around here in NE Ohio you don't see too many of the real hoods, but around here every service truck and lawn service has the Lund stick-on scoops on it. So I guess I'd save my money and go for the real thing. The Lund scoops can look good if you do them right, but around here everybody has 'em.

But then again I'm not exactlt un-biased.--DIY
