Hey Speedwolf,
Looks like you had you handles painted to match. How good do they match? How much did it cost? I have mine off the truck right now and and have time to get them painted before I re-install them. Also what brand chrome covers are they and how much where they as well. They look good Thanks, whitecrystal1

one of my brothers who works in construction as well on our farm came by the barn where we were working on upfitting some of the f150's because he had 5200 miles on the truck, he needed an oil change as he has a job out of town this week

he has a 2006 f150 with supercab, 8' bed, 5.4 auto with the trailer package and a aluminum camper top that has a ladder rack on top.

I noticed that the truck was sagging, I asked how much was he carrying, his answer, not much.

I took the truck over to the grain truck scale where we can weight a 10 wheel grain truck all at once

the weight 7559 lbs with almost empty fuel tank

I told him he did not need a f150 but a f250 of f350 or remove some of his stuff

I could not believe what he was carrying. he was a rolling shop there were enough tools to fix vehicles or work construction

he had been out of town for 3 weeks and while we was off he bult cabinets, racks etc in back. we will have to have him do some work for us

with his weight we are going to have to see what we can do

I hate buying one truck, you never get the best deal, I would have liked to have bought his next truck with the other 35 "F's" we bought recently

oh well

My title app (certificate of origin) says it weighs 5000lbs...2wd supercab. What did the last Lightening weigh?

I had to go to the Cat scales when I brought this beast into the grimy old state of Calfornyuh. Weighed about 5900lbs without me in it and not much gas (a little less than a quarter tank). I'd say it weighs around 6200 with me and some gas. Now that I'm lifted on 37's, I've surpassed their scale's weight limit...

Alright thats a lie. I'm sure I'm in the neigborhood of 6500lbs curb.

6500 lbs in my SC King ranch. that is with rims, tires 35s, and a full tank of gas, and me in it of course. along with a few tools, not many though.

the new 06 screws with the 6.5 foot bed can gross 7200 lbs and handle 1500 of payload so how are you getting 6200lbs empty? ..

another curious note that i've noticed between the 05's and 06's is the 05's have an extra leaf spring in the rear but the load ratings are the same between the 2 years..

Cheers!
