2006 F-150 Halo projector Reviews
Hello guys,
I am looking into the projector Halo lights that I have seen on a few trucks. I have a silver FX4 that I think the black background ones would look great on. What I am wondering is, for those of you that have tried them, have you had any issues to date? How was the install? Do you wish you would have wired the Halo or the LED's up differently?
What is it that lights the halos, are they LED's as well, incandescent and can you replace them if they stop working, same with LED's does it look like you could go to an electronics shop and buy some more, or maybe even replace with orange ones and make it your signal light????
I have seen a couple different types, do they all work pretty much the same, halogen inserted into the socket? And how is the beam pattern for low beam, getting flashed at all???
Thank you all very much that do reply, I greatly appreciate it!!!!

Halo and HID lights have been talked about here in great detail. Since you are a registered member I would reccomend trying the seach feature on the toolbar above. You should find plenty information there regarding your topic.
Hope this helps.

Halos are typically run with an LED source(s).
Only certain OEM applications like on BMW use a regular light bulb for the "celis" angel eyes. And aftermarket use either LED or CCFL.
As for aftermarket projector headlamps, unfortunatly most are made in china and use a very poor h3 projector for the mainbeam. h3 projectors should ONLY be used for auxillary lighting, but these Chinesse manufacturers save a ton of money when using 2 dollar h3 projectors which provide little useable light.
