Size Coilovers??

Since the price on the Rize 8" Kit has been lowered yet again, im going to take the extra money saved and possibly buy from coilovers in the front so i am not using the reverse spacer on my stock coilovers. My question is what size coilover do i need? and what companies....i think ill stay away from King for they are really expensive.

Or do you think i could buy 4 regular type shocks and install 2 on each wheel removing my coilover??

Sorry for long post....Thanks for the info in advance

Wouldnt it be smart to contact RIZE, the manufacturer and ask them what size shocks you need, instead of a message board where only 2 or 3 people have the 8" kit??

I'm going to agree with TXF150. Also why do you want to move away from the engineering that Rize has included with the kit?

silver in answer to your question....i dont wanna be running stock coilovers on spacers.....i knwo rize is great craftmanship and all and ive seen video clips of there test truck from a while back with the stock coilovers on spacer and they beat the hell out of it, im confident that it hold well.....just would rather have new coilovers.....and for the look and performance

you said it yourself they are quality the way they build it. then you say you want new ones for performance. seems like you beating a dead horse and delaying the purchase and instalation for others to see on here. i hate to be blunt but stop penny pinching and get the dang thing. I want to see it on another truck!

I'm not sure if the Dirt Logics will work w/ the Rize 8" lift. I'm trying to get the Rize and called them today, but only the girl was there. If they don't call me tomorrow, I will stop by their shop (if I have time). This is one of my questions for them as well.

Also, FYI...I'm not beating around the bush about getting it...if I can get my Fabtech sold and 35" tires (not a necessity like the lift) I will have it. My biggest hurdle is the wife. lol I think I got her convinced though.

I have to find the place again...I wasn't too serious because I'm not sure if I'm actually able to get the Rize or not. I'll see if I can find it again.

i have already asked them about the coilovers. u need a coilover 8" over stock.
i think the dirtlogics will work if u crank them up 2" before installing them, but otherwise u need to contact king and they can custome make ones about 1K for the pair.
