Installed 2.5" Daystar leveling kit (Pics)

I decided to install my leveling kit today. I gotta say it was more difficult than I thought it would be, but I managed.

It is something you can do without a mechanic as long as you know how to loosen and tighten bolts. You will need the spring compressor for the Daystar (at least I did), some may have done this install without, but I can say, I am glad I had it.

Here are before and after pics, my truck is very dirty, but it didn't look to bad in these pics, I did wash it when I was done and got a couple beers in me. I must admit, I really like how this looks with the stock 20" rims & Pirelli tires.

Your right, it's a very nice balance between your level and your wheels and tires. I need to show my dad these pictures and convince him to put on a level now.

I am taking it in on Wednesday for the alignment. There is a dealership somewhere around town that you can buy a lifetime alignment with them. I think the cost is $120 and you can take your vehicle back as often as you like as long as you own the vehicle. My buddy did this with his truck, I am trying to get ahold of him to see who he went to.

Here is an update.

I didn't get to drive it much yesterday (drove it less than a mile). Today I drove to work and around some more and I gotta say, I think this rides so much better than the stock configuration. The whole truck feels better, the height is better, handling is good, I love it, a leveling kit is a must have if you don't do alot of towing.

On another note, I couldn't figure out why I had to adjust my rear view mirror this morning. I had it perfect before and figured my kids must have bumped it or something, I was pretty pissed off. I usually bump it when I wash the windows, but yesterday I only washed the outside of my truck, I didn't do anything to the inside, then the light bulb went off....DUUUUHHHH, the daystar threw things out of whack! It was one of those Monday morning moments....god I hate Monday mornings!
