Very Satisfied

Got my Edge Evo. - Very nice performance gains but didn't sound like I wanted it.

Got my flowmaster super 40. - Sounded a little better but didn't feel much of a performance gain and was still too quiet. I assumed since the engine was breathing out but not in.

Installed my K&N FIPK today. - O M G I'm very happy with both the power and the sound. Can't wait to go run some 1/4 miles and 0 - 60 times tomorrow.

Way to go on the performance mods, but I'm really confused as to what you expected the Edge to sound like

I think he expected the Edge to modify the exhaust sound of his pickup.

I have read at least one post here that stated that they thought that the sound was louder after edge and attributed it to the change in the amount of air sent to the engine etc...

One example right here... I sold my EDGE specifically because I didn't like the way it made my truck sound. It made the intake (stock) louder. People have said it does this because the EDGE makes the engine suck in more air. For me, it produced a drone that I wasn't fond of.

It also made my truck super loud when I get on the gas. I love it though.
