Anyone with Dark Stone get the LT Handles?

Curious, because they don't come in the Dark Stone color so they'd have to be painted.

I want to do it, but was nervous about having to paint them myself??

Have you thought about going with chrome handles? I'm not talking about a cheap cover. I just installed a set of replacement chromed billit aluminum handles made buy putco. I got them from www.autoanything.com. They look great. I mean it. I'm very happy with them. I shopped around and got them to sell them to me for $420. 4 doors with keyless entry and the tailgate. That price even included shipping. You will have to pull each door panel to install and get some masking tape so you don't scratch the paint. It took me 1 1/2 hrs. Good luck.

Just buy a set of any color and take the handles out of the buckets and have any reputable paint shop shoot them for you. Shouldn't cost much and they should come out very nice. I did it and I'm glad I did! This is a pic with handles removed after paint.....shiny!!

Oh, and I tried painting them myself, but I never could get the clear to come out right, it was always DULL.......So I sanded em back down and give em to the professionals.

Since you cant get the handles in bright red, I had to buy some and paint them. I bought the white ones, took them apart and painted them myself. Go to a reputable automotive paint place and when they mix your paint, go ahead and have them reduce it. This will make it ready to shoot. Then you can scuff them, shoot them and clear them. I did mine and they turned out great.
