Grr LED blinker problems..

Ok This is sort of a followup from the other thread of mine. I just got the bulb in the mail today which is the Tower II. My dumbass forgot to order 2 bulbs to so I only have one now! So tonight I thought I would see how my ONE bulb looks and wow! It looks great BUT it blinks waaay too fast! I figured these had a thingy built in to limit the flashing but no they dont! How would I fix this?

I know that, I have no idea how to go about it or where to put it.

Well, that sucks. I know you were hoping that they had it built in.

Good luck on getting them to work! Post pics when you do!

You need a resistor. I did a quick Google search and found some for less than $10. Probably have them at your local auto parts place, as well.

How many times a second do they blink? I actually like rapid blinking but might not be legal in some cases.

Take one of your bulbs out and look. Thats about how fast they blink. I just went out today and put the LED bulb into the light just for kicks to see what it looks like during the day and I am impressed! It is super bright!! But I have yet another question...I ordered the resistor kit to slice into the blinker hot wire and I see three wires going into the blinker, a black one (ground) the a purple one, and a striped wire. Which one is it?

Did you ever get them too work????

I bought these,

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2-315...04144167QQrdZ1

I already have a resistor built into my LED tail lights, Im hoping that will take care of any blinking problems.

If not, Im probably going to need to know what you did to make them work.

Uh. My LED taillights have a resistor also, but they still blinked wayyy to fast! Here is what I bought to get them to work (hopefully, because theyll show up to my door on the 6th) I am also curious on which color wire is the blinker "hot" wire.
I went to superbrightleds.com and bought a load resistor kit.

I believe it is the striped wire. Just get a volt meter or a test light and probe that wire and see which one blinks. Black will be ground obviously. The resistor will need to be wired across the wires, from whichever is signal power to the black ground. The resistors get VERY hot so be sure to mount it in a good location where it won't be against something like the plastic headlight housing. That is also why they are not built into the little LED signal bulbs due to the heat it generates. I was testing out my LED signals back when I had em and just for like the 2 minutes or so with the thing blinking, it got so hot it burnt my hand as soon as I touched it!

Yea I remember that...I used to race r/c cars and we used resistors on our motors to make the motors run coolor and they did get pretty hot. But these are an actual kit that have splicers that go on ground the the blinker hot. Here is a picture of the kit...
