Question Where is factory alarm??

Does anyone know where factory alarm is built into the 06 f150? I didnt purchase the factory alarm so they had some worker just walk out to my truck and did something for just like 2 mins and now... no alarm. I know all the sirens are there.

I heard before that most of the time they just leave the alarm module in the truck. Anything special needed to reactivate it?

Im planing on doing a remote start 2way soon but for the time being if I could use factory thats already there would be great.

Joe, there is no factory alarm on the F150's. The alarm that the tech took out of your car was added by the dealership while the truck was on their lot to protect the inventory. We use Ford Keyless Entry systems used by Code. But the F-150 DOES NOT come with a factory alarm of any kind. However, when they do install the alarms, they are usually behind the panel under the steering wheel. I suppose you could pop that plastic piece off and see if they left the brain in there or if they just cut the wires. Most dealers will remove it completely. Good luck...

I WAS WAITING FOR YOUR RESPONSE! haha
Damn tomorrow I have regular work then side consulting for a few hrs... maybe tomorrow night I will have a chance to pull that apart.

Its funny you mentioned that area, when I drive over the yellow things in the road (bumps) I can hear something rattle in there, maybe they just cut wires.

Ill post pics tomorrow. But wouldnt there have to be some factory connection there, and kinda like a standard dealer alarm, (dont they use factory sirin [too many drinks to spell]).

New sig coming once I take better pictures too!

Like Chris said, there is no factory alarm. It's easy to check to see if they left anything there, you can look up with a small flashlight and look for anything that is obviously aftermarket (zip tied, says "Karr", etc).

Now, about taking your sweet a$$ time on the new sig...

Regarding the alarm...

Take your drink in a plastic cup, grab a flash light, put drink on rear bumper so as to not spill it in new truck, look under dash, take drink, look under dash, scratch head, take drink, stumble home.
