cut off to fuel pump
cut off to fuel pump
A quick story.
broke down on the highway, truck just quit ('05 FX4 with 15,000 miles) while going 70mph. got towed in and the dealer replaced the fuel pump and filter, so they say. 5 days later it does the same thing. they say they replaced some cut onf solenoid that is located in the fuse panel on the passenger side kick panel. it is a re-settable switch, so i have my doubts. they told me this is the first 150 they have seen do this but have had problems with the ones on the lil ranger trucks.
has anyone ever had this problem on their F150's?
it has been 5 days since i got it back and so far so good but i am very nervous. not a good feeling being totally broke down on the side of the road and all the chevy guys honking and yelling ford slurs.

I've heard of this before, It's the fuel cut off switch incase you were to have a severe accident it cuts off fuel to the engine to prevent fire. It is likely that could be the root of the problem if it is malfunctioning, I have heard of it being a problem that plauged the Rangers.
