i am a diesel tech (i work on school busses and transit vans)
we just retrofitted a large portion of our fleet (800+ school buses) with a CRD (catalytic system) and just w/ that old 7.3L can run cleaner than the 6.0L piles of crap that we have
being as ford is still in the process of developing the 4.4L and its based off of a proven platform (unlike the 6.0, but similar to the move from the 7.3L to the 7.3L powerstorke) i think it will be a pretty reliable piece and should be a great motor ::crosses fingers::

what i would love to see is ford to fit something like the DT466 straight six into an f series. ive worked on a few of those and they are awesome motors. kick the **** out of all the cummens, powerstrokes, and duramaxx you come along and still smile
