If I have to pick between the two you posted, #2. #1 is too plain. Why pay the $$$ for wheels if they look like every other wheel out there?

1, it seems like it has more bling then the 2nd choice. i guess the 2nd choice is just busy on the spoke.

 

Yeah I like the subtle style of the #1. It's showy, but not a slap in the face type show since I still want to to be a little reserved.

Now my big issue is brakes. I originally wanted to do rotors by Quintin and some others have scared me away from the R1 Concepts ebay rotors. I really don't want to drop the coin on the Powerslot or Brembo rotors, so it looks like I'll just paint the calipers, put on some Potorfield ceramic brake pads to cut down on dust and call it a day.

I think I'll hold off on doing the rotors. I mean honestly, they won't provide that big of a difference in stopping distance unless they are a +1 size over stock and they're not, and I can't afford a +1 size.

I would love a 6 piston +1 setup from brembo but that would be more money then I spent on the tires and rims ($2,500 for brembo kit). Not to mention the unsprung weight it'd add to each tire.

I think I'll just do Porterfield ceramic pads and paint the stock calipers red. The rotors don't look all that bad stock and the red calipers will give an aftermarket illusion. Then the pads will hopefull cut down on dust and not squeek.

I'll just have to give myself more stopping distance.

#2 is gonna bling alot more when driving. i flat surface like #1 is gonna look like a big chrome wheel when driving with not much bling. both are sweet!!! personally when i drive i love seeing the reflection FLASH on the ground. it catches the eye a lot better my vote is for #2

 

I vote #2 because the little indentions between the spokes are a real bugger to keep clean.

I had a set of AR 20" RTS's that had the indetions between the spokes and they were always a pain to clean. I now have a set of MB Bruzers that look like the #2 wheel except that they are 5 spoke, and they are much easyer to keep clean.

 

If you can find wheels like #1 without the faux beadlock things I would get them for sure. I like clean wheels though...

Has AE upped the quality? I've always been wary of them....Maybe times change though...The market is flooded with crap wheels now, so be careful...They sure look nice though, so #1.

I don't think you should go out of your way to be different in this case, you might end up regretting it. Don't mess your truck up, run #1. That is one of the few wheels I like, my buddy has these on his lowered 05 reg cab pickup. They look amazing.

 

#1 all the way. smooth and simple, like mentioned before.....
