Need Some Help, Pics Please!!!!!

Hey Guys,
Please help me. I bought a Maggie SIDO 14" muffler and was gonna have a local shop run a pipe out behind the drivers side rear wheel to match the stock pipe on the other side. Dropped it off and my father-n-law went to pick it up for me. the guy said he couldn't do it because there were things in the way( gas line, break line etc) I called him and rescheduled for sat and came up with 2 other options that will work. Can you guys please post some pics of duals split out the back or out the sides so i can print it and take it down to him. The key part i guess would be coming out the muffler and crossing over to the drivers side. I really want to do the original plan if i can. THANKS!!!

Sounds like the shope is to lazy to bend the pipe for you, thats if they have a pipe bender which I hope since they are a muffler shop. It its that big of a problem for them I would look to take it to someone else. I figure that there are enough kits out there that they should be able to easily figure out a setup like you have. I have been thinking going this route too, I am not big on tips. Let us know how it turns out.

Here's a pic of the rear. I'll try and get other ones from underneath tomorrow evening.

I had a 14" maggie installed at a shop two weeks ago and ran into the same problem. The tech let me look at the underside of the vehicle while it was in the air and I have to agree that the fuel lines were in the way. He said he could do it but would have to kind of rig it. I chose to just go out the stock location with a SI/SO set up. I don't want to have a problem with raising the fuel temp excessively or melting the plastic fuel lines and causing a fire in my new 40K truck. I'm not sure if this is just the set up on the FX4's or not.

Here's a few pics of the fuel and brake lines that would have to moved.

The one line is a harder plastic so it's not very pliable to move out of the way. Like I said before a little to close to all that heat IMO. Heat plus fuel or heat plus brake fluid=

They had to tie up those lines on mine. He said they have to do that quite often.

Hey guys,
thanks for the posts, my other options are to run another pipe right next to the stock one and have dual out the same side, or the cut off stock and have dual come out right in front of rear tire ala lightning. favoring first option if i cant do split. dont want to mess with heating/melting stuff. any other pics to show underside of truck w/ dual split and without having to move lines would be awesome. thanks again!!!!!!

Hey, it wasn't 40k! Ask me how I know....

Anyway, your old truck and my old truck are right next to each other on the lot. And I will be looking to get myself a Magnaflow pretty soon too. I want mine louder than yours though.

Here's my set up, When my truck was on the lift the brake line was stretched strait so we let in down and got a big zip tie and tide it back, he put it back on the lift and got started. There's some more pic's in my gal. Good luck and don't take no for an answer!
