It's on the back side, which will soon enough be covered in grime and brake dust that will more than likely never be cleaned off anyway... and the entire back side of the wheel isn't painted solid either. Looks like mostly overspray from painting the front on non-visible surfaces.

I would slap a little black touchup paint on that area and put them on the truck.

I would contact them and send them those pictures though... you never know, they may refund some $ for damages.
I agree, I think they rather refund some cash then taking the hit on shipping and another rim.

believe it or not YES that is the way tire/wheel packages are shipped. I was in the tire bus. for three years and dealt with many shipments like yours-none of them every came in scratched. The scatch looks like it probably occured when the tire was installed on the rim. Its pretty hard to know what exactly happened, but i am sure it was packaged in that condition. I would call the manufacture and ask for a replacement. just a side note though in the future when your tires need re-balancing make sure you go to a reputable shop- your rims are extremely easy to scratch when they remove the old weights a apply new ones - make sure they know what they are doing!!

Beautiful wheels. I would send it back. You paid too much to have to have to go through the hassle of fixing them up. Great chocie!

Past all the scratching, etc., you MUST post pics of these after you've finally installed them!!!

It sucks, but the outside looks good so why worry about it? It will just aggravate you more trying to send the wheel back, then having to wait for God knows how long before they replace it...

Don't do it, don't send it back, the wheels look great, the inside will be covered in brakedust in a few days, and you'll never know it...

Update...

Well, I sent my customer service rep an email last night with photos attached and they called me first thing this morning...

Here is what they are doing...

They packed up a new wheel and sent it out to me, today...

They told me to take it to a local discount tire and have the tire taken off the damaged wheel and re-mounted and balanced on the new wheel AND, they are issuing a recall tag to have the damaged wheel shipped back to them...

How is that for awesome customer service???!!!

The new wheel should be here on Monday and I should have them all on the truck with pics posted Tuesday evening...

I do have to say, that after I cleaned the wheels all up, they do look pretty bad a$$.

TWO THUMBS UP FOR DISCOUNTTIREDIRECT.COM!!!

I'm still having a lot of trouble with Sportztrailers. I'm sure they'd be happy to know they're part of this dunce slogan. Thats an awesome wheel, can't wait for the pics of them mounted.
