What is it? Is it similiar to the P.I.E. where it goes into the aux port or is it a wired FM modulator? The description they gave wasn't all that descriptive. I have the Sirius option on my hu and am stuck using a wired FM modulator for my iPod, I would love something like the P.I.E. that also powers the unit, etc. let us know when you get it.

Uses the Ipod headphone output

Take your tunes on the road! Now you can connect portable audio players (MP3, iPod,® iRiver,® SanDisk,® etc.), plus portable CD and cassette players, right to your in-dash radio. Just plug your player into the harness – a 3.5mm stereo connector provides the interface so you can listen to music through the radio’s speakers and control the volume. Audio connection is housed securely in your vehicle’s glovebox or center console. "Dealer Installation Recommended"

For $50, I'll order one Monday. Just to see how it works.

I seen this also, but like many things for accessories, Ford doesn't give much of a description. I would of ordered also, but thought for the price it must run through the FM. Please let us know what it is when you get it.

Thanks

I seriously doubt it is FM modulated because it "fits" a limited list of vehicles and because dealer installation is recommended. It sounds like it doesn't show the song info or allow you to control tracks from the head unit...it would be a steal if it did.

No it is not a FM modulated device, it is hard wired part with an external cable to plug into the ipod. I just picked up the part from my buddy at the local dealership, i will keep ya'll updated when i finshed the install.

The description says it fits the 2006 F150, nothing mentioned about the 04-05 models?

OK i was wrong it IS a FM modulated device with a 2.5mm input jack. Yet another disappointment from ford, i was very displeased on what actually was in the box. Sorry guys i though wrong!

That sucks but kind of what I figured. It seems if you have the factory Sirius setup you are SOL for the iPod other than an FM modulator.

Well, if it doesn't work in my '04, it'll be in the classifieds on here. I figure at $50, I ain't got nothing to lose. I've got an '05 model year CD-6/MP3 head unit in my truck with an AUX button, I assume that's how this thing works.
