Hey man, you got a sweet truck. Do you think that the 91 is limiting you? With 93 could you get better numbers?

Yes, the numbers would be better if it was tuned for 93 octane.

Wow, here's an old thread. This was before I had the dyno sheets, the numbers were actually 426-427RWHP and 469-474 ft/lbs of torque in 99 degree heat.

The higher the octane, the better the truck will run, up to around 95 octane. The 91 was limiting me, but not as bad as the premium back in Alaska, which is 90. I am going to mix racing fuel with premium next summer to get 92 octane which will help out some. The computer will relearn the new octane and automatically add timing back in. I also just got a delta programer that I can manually adjust spark/timing, tire size, gear ratio's etc. I need to get a wide band air/fuel meter so I can keep track while I'm toying around with it.

I was hoping to get some new pictures, but we just got a bunch of snow, which turned to slush, which makes the truck seriously dirty.

As for quarter mile times, hopefully next summer I will get that. There is a track about 300 miles from here that I'll try and get to. I'd be happy with 14.0-14.5 times, and tickled with anything in the 13's.

I did a quick calculation based on my parasitic loss from stock to now, and it was around 30%, which puts me in the mid 500 horses at the crank. I've been told that is the way to calculate it, and I've also been told that the percentages don't mean squat. I'm not sure who to believe so I'll go with the higher number which would be 550-560 Crank HP and 600 Crank Ft/lbs. We all stretch the truth about the fish we catch, I don't see why I can't do that here.
