edge question...again

This may be an easy one, but I haven't figured it out yet. How do you custom tune for tire size alone? I want to run level 3 and adjust for larger tire size.

When you choose the tune it will ask you do you want to custom tune. When you set either gear ratio or tire size make sure you check both settings.

If you need help figuring out what size your tires are in mm then see my sig.

That is a good question because the default values do not load when you are customizing a level. So you have 2 choices, 1.)find out what the default values are for level 3 and load all of those along with the tire size value that want. You can find the default settings from edge somewhere in this forum if you do a search, I remember them posted a couple times. 2.) you can load the default level 3 tune first and then disconnect the unit and reconnect it(make sure key is in "on" position). Then go to load level 3 and choose the customizing option. When the screen comes up with all the modifieable parameters, scroll down untill you see "Load Previous Settings" and select it. After that, all of the settings should be what are default from edge for level 3. Now just go and adjust the tire size value (must set gear ratio also) to what you want and load the tune.

Hope this helps.

04NickySP2,
I don't believe it works if you just want to change tire size to just change that value (and gear ratio) because the other values do not default to what comes from Edge. At least they didn't with previous update versions. I will have to go to their website and see if they changed that in the last update.

Edit: I just checked and I do not see anything on their site about a change. I know at one time Bill was working on it so it would automatically load the previous settings, but it looks like he hasn't figured it out yet.
