JLT intake is finally released

I had been watching this for quite a while now. This was the intake I had planned on getting if I was still N/A.

It has been showing impressive gains of 30hp and 55ft/lbs at the wheels. The catch is you have to have a custom tune to run it.

This matched with other mods, I can see some very impressive n/a trucks in the future.

Yes it is. You also have to remember thats with a "generic" tune that comes with the intake. I'm sure with you got a true dyno tune, a little more power is in there.

What im wondering is how much a actual functioning cowl hood would help this setup.

Now, is that over a Stock PCM tune and intake? . . or a tuned truck and stock intake? I thought the Edge gave gains like that by itself? . . or close to it?

The thing is the edge might be more expensive. So with the intake and that tune being cheaper but gives the same or more power, it would be more disireable.

The Edge can be had for around $320. I can't see this intake being sold for much cheaper than that plus, the addition of the custom tune would make it more expensive.

The intake sells for $199 at jusnesmodified

What really needs to happen is compare dyno charts. For everyone really starts assuming.

What are the power gains on a 5.4 without the tune?

You can't run this intake without a tune.

Im assuming that he means that you cannot run this intake without a tune because it will cause it to run lean, because of so much increased air flow.

Do you know if you can run it with a Edge tune?

I'm wondering if most of the gains are from the tune, pointless if thats the case.
