And that is why I run AT tires with good wet traction ratings instead of mud tires now.
I took a little unplanned offroad trip in my last truck after locking the brakes on wet pavement to avoid a collision with a deer. It put my wife and I into a fencerow high centered on an old dozer pile with about $2k worth of damage.
I put a set of AT's on it as soon as it came out of the body shop and have run them ever since. Those bigger lugs and different rubber compound of mud tires just don't grip well on wet pavement. I've got a set of Michelins on this one instead of the junk Generals that came on it.
Glad you're okay and there wasn't any more damage than there was. That one had the potential to do a whole lot of damage.

ANd the curve you see in the pic isnt the curve I went around. The curve is on the other side of the road but it's about the same angle of a curve. I turned a 180 and hit it.
