You'll dig the Volant...do a search or email me brypink@***.net for a couple tricks to help keep down the vibration of the box, other than the dynamat thing.

It might be best to just post it...desertoasis did the write-up. Also, make sure your brake fluid reservoir is all the way to left (when looking at it from the front). Mine had about 1/4" or so that it could adjust over away from the box.

I don't think I would do the dynamat thing...but to each his own. If i were to add any dynamat...it would be around the tube only where it makes contact with the box.

and click "here"

Okay okay.. it's installed!! It DID take me a while to install it, and whomever said it previously was right... that RAM AIR tube is a pain to install. You almost need someone to hold the wheelwell protectors back in order to get your hands in there to tighten the clamps!! Anywho.. the rest was alright since I used advice from many of you, removed the black electrical box, and all was good. I also stuck some foam to the metal plate before I placed the box in there.

After all the vibration and noise you all were talking about, I have to admit, I was worried to go for a drive and not know what would go wrong.. but... ALL WAS PERFECT!!! No steering wheel vibration, no loud noises, all smooth as silk! It makes a sweet noise around 2500-3000 rpm, but otherwise, wouldn't even notice it was there! I'm glad I bought it. I'll see how it goes for the next week or so, but already up to 85 on the highway without a glitch!! Next week the exhaust should arrive, so hopefully they will work well together.
Thanks to all.. and to all a good night
