I'm Very happy with my EDGE and love the gauges! Played around with different speeds with the cruise to see where mileage would be best. Round trip last week, 190 miles, 21.6 mpg! Cruise at 67, 90% freeway. I've been averaging 18+ since edge and exhaust. Mine is 4x4, Scab with 3.55 gears...

I forgot, the average was from the Lariat cluster and my calculator, not the edge, so I now it was right... You'll be satisfied if you buy one

So..., the Edge tuner will help me save gas?..
Who can install it in case I buy it?

I drive a lot in the city, stop and go, stop and go all the time

I like everything I am hearing about this. I havent really looked into any of them due to the fact that i think it will void my factory warranty, is this true? If so is it possible to have it in the truck and remove it when I take my truck to be serviced? also, is this better than the tryoyer performance excalbur or w/e. how much is the setup with the mount and all? Is it easy to operate?

$329 Shipped from Truckracingparts.com with the coupon code... can't remember what it is, but it's on their site , just click on the Bargain button on top right of screen. Yes, you can remove it easily before service, do it a day or two in advance to go through a drive cycle. It's also very easy to operate, in fact, you don't use the instructions for much. lol... Everyone on this site has been such a great help and influenced my purchase. Is it better than the Troyer? Depends what you're trying to do. If I had a 2 wheel drive that I was looking to make as quick as possible, I'd go troyer, but I have a 4x4 Supercab that will never run a 6.0 0-60 time, so I'm not concerned about leaving a few horsepower out in lala land. I didn't want to wait for the Troyer, but most who have them are very happy. I'm satisfied with the "canned tune", and most of us Edge users are... Good luck with your purchase, which every way you go!

You're not going to save gas money by spending $329 on a tuner and the increased price of higher octane gas.

You can install it yourself.

Sure you do.

Higher octane and more timing equals better mileage.

Most people see an increase in their mileage.

You didn't?

I just fueled my truck up this week. 33.4 gals @ $2.95/gal for 92 octane total $98.53, 518.4 miles on that tank 15.52 miles/gal. I think that is pretty good for running big tires and also towing 13,000 lbs of about 50 miles (on lvl2) on that tank of gas.
Holy crap dude...65.50 for me yesterday.. regular unleaded (2.72), about 25 gals..

That's a big difference.

Edge Evolution is definitely worth it. It's the best money I've spent on my truck so far. It's like buying a set of digital gauges with a code scanner, and getting a tuner for free.

I have a quick ? about edge (this is my dealbraker) I want to know about the changing of the shift points. heres my example:

coming hard around a short 90 degree right turn. turn hard. plow through (understeer) floor the gas at the apex, (and after it decides it'll shift) the power hits the pavement through my LSD 3.73 gears. kicking my truck sideways (fishtail) now heres the gay part. with the stock tune when you do that. it doesn't just stay in gear and let you power your way through the slide. no it SHIFTS. into second. forcing you to stop having fun and THEN it'll downshift once again so you can accelerate. I DON'T want it to shift. and the only way to make it not shift stock is to put it into 1 which leaves me with some retarted tune with no power. anyone got some insight as to whether the edges shift point will let me have the fun ford has denied me?

Around here and pretty much everwhere that I have traveled gas is .20 cents more for 93/high octane. So if you figure you have a 30 gallon tank on your screw and you spend the extra .20 a gallon it's only max $6 extra every fill up.

OUCH!!!! I believe that you meant $3.48 a gallon for premium. That still hurts.

Here in upstate NY, we are currently $2.95 - $3.15 a gallon for regular and add $.20 for premium.

05Screw..... I see that you beat me to the punch with your edit.

You don't have to run higher octane for level 2.. That's what I run and it only requires 87 octane... and the performance is waaaaay better than stock
