I'm confused... This model would offer what? If it is a 2wd version of an FX4, is that not an STX? Anyway, it sounds like they should just offer a 5.4L in the STX model to end up with the same thing in appearance. Maybe I'm missing something here.

I think it looks sweet. Ford put this one together well. The nicest part about this FX2 will be the availability of the better interior for the 2wd trucks. They should drop the 5.4L 4V in that thing while they are at it.

An STX is nothing like an FX4 really. An FX4 is like a sport lariat while an STX is like an sport XL in a way. The main difference is the Floor shifter, leather, and power options.

The FX2 is simply a 2wd version of the FX4 with some additional bolt-ons.
Grille, lower valance, smoked headlights, etc.

I believe the 5.4L will be standard as is it is in the FX4.

The FX4 has a lot more options than the STX. The STX is basically a XL with painted bumpers.

This package is supposed to give the warm weather truck owners who don't want 4wd another choice.

The bumper looks cool. I am going to the auto show on Monday for a closer look.

I wanted this option when i was going to buy my truck, painted bumpers and a 5.4 in a 2wd. I dont really know if its gonna be all that new, just a new option available under a "package name". I think its a good step, offering more options for the consumer.
