Check out autoblog.com and click on Ford. There is a new article that talks about production of a 3.6 liter diesel

Holy chit. I am so swapping.

Ford Motor's new top-of-the-line diesel (photo at right) starting rolling off the production line Friday at the company's Dagenham Diesel Centre in Britain. The new powerplant is a twin-turbo 3.6-liter V8 that puts out about 265 hp (270 ps) and 472 ft-lb. of torque (640 Nm). Up to 25,000 of the new V8s will be produced annually.

Ford says it will announce vehicle applications for the new engine later this year.

Ford's Dagenham operation builds half of all Ford diesels worldwide

Nice, are we to assume this will be going in the F150's sometime?

25000 a year sounds like an industrial usage. Maybe in the F150, but...

Look at that 472 ft-lb. of torque.
Nice. Very nice.
Bet it would even get pretty good mileage.

What kind of tranny does Ford have that is small but can handle that much torque?
Or maybe 550-600lbs after you chip it? And you better know we would all chip it

Probably be a $6500 option like the Superduty's. I don't need a Diesel. Give me more power in my gas burner. (Hurricane)
