06 Foglight switch different than 04, 05???

Can any 06 owners with foglights chime in on this.. Getting ready to install my foglights, and I will be wiring them just like the factory foglights, but noticed a difference in the switches...

04-05 Light Switch:

06 Light Switch

Do any of you 04-05 owners have a switch that looks like the bottom photo??

The foglight indicators on the dials are different but the actual mechanism and positions functions identically on my 06 as it did on my 04. I noticed the different indicators when I bought the 06.

I have an 05 built in 12-04 and my headlight/foglight switch looks like the 06 picture you posted. Maybe it depends on the plant they were built in, not the model year.

TXF150,

Are you building your own wire harness that goes from the switch to the fog lights? or did you buy a Ford part? If so, do you have a part number?

Thanks!

I would like to know that too as I ordered my bumper and fogs already. Also how do the fogs work when from the factory? (Do they turn on with the markers etc..)

I will be using a HELLA wiring harness, and connecting it so that when you pull out on the switch, the fogs go on, and when you push in they go off. I want it to be just like it would be if it came with foglights from the factory...

The switches are the same, the difference is in the top pic the "fog" "pull" mark is on the swithch itself, and in the bottom pic, its on the surround.
and yes they will come on with just the parking/running/marker lights.

Wiring harness: Hella High Performance Wiring Harness Part# 87199

Hedlight and fog switch: 4L3Z11654CAE, now that is for the dark gray interior, I would double check on it...

My '06 is just like the second picture. I dunno about the '04-5. Looks kinda cheesy to me.

Which switch are you looking at in the picture ?

The top photo, the switch on the anti submarine panel is a Carling Technology illuminated Contura switch. The fog switch is still the pull the main headlamp "****" out to turn on the fogs.

The bottom photo is a different mfgr of switch ( forget which at the moment ).

I think this was in the where are you mounting your switch thread, I think they were for backup lamps ??? Trying to find it straight away, edit if I find it.

Let us know how the Hella wiring harness installation come out on the fog switch. I just score this on ebay.
I figure i'll just reuse my black surround bezel instead of champagne. Please post the result.
Thanks
