Do you guys think if I bought parts 1, 5, 7, and 10 I could interchange the parts I salvaged from a Floor Console?

Everything looks close...just those major pieces need to be changed.

Any ideas?

I've got that console in my '06 XLT S'cab. It's OK I suppose, I would really rather have the floor shifter though. Maybe sometime in the future. Who knows?

 

I just got one and installed it but rather have the flow through also. My wife likes the center seat better.

 

I prefer the center console in my XLT to the center shifter. I guess I'm just used to the column shifter. I've driven my friends FX4 with center shift and I like how my XLT has more leg room because I'm 6'4". I also like how much more space there is in the XLT console compared to the center shifter. I guess I'm just one of the few.

 

Just say "I Do" and that isn't a problem anymore.

Having done this "a while ago", and I hope I remember correct, and before swapping to a full flow thru setup, part's 2,3,4,5,7,8 interchange between the XLT and Flowthru consoles. So if you bought the core XLT parts you need, sometimes you can get the interchangeable parts on ebay from buying a flowthru console take-out and pulling the parts. I have seen flow thru consoles on ebay in black and tan colors for about 40-50 dollars. Hope this helps. And yes, that swap is almost too simple.

I bought my flow thru console from him awhile back and is a class act seller.

 

Sweet...this is the worst case scenario. I do have a Flow Through already...just need the main parts 1, 5, 10. I have 7...but its from the Flow Through and other than vents being there, it looks like it should fit...it would just be some FAKE vents.

 

I priced it all today from the Ford dealership, $350.00 for the complete XLT console(sold in pieces though).

That console is listed on the window sticker as "Captain seats" it's a $300.00 option I have on my 06 SCab.

It's a HUGE compartment I fit a 12 pack of heineken bottles in there with easea and there is still alot of room.
