Wrench Light After Warranty

Anyone have problems with Electronic Throttle Control after their warranty has expired? Mine acts up every now & then & I'd like to get it fixed. I would assume it's probably the TPS & that's easy enough to change but what about reflashing the PCM? I'm at 42K miles & just wondering what Uncle Henry would charge to fix this.

Let me know how it goes. Is your's a 4.6 or the 5.4? The cheapest I can find a TPS for a 5.4 is $144.00

Hi.

Could also be a failing throttle body ....

Read this:

https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...+throttle+body

Would this not be still be covered under the powertrain?

Hope this helps.

Cheers

TSB is 05-14-4 Although there may be a newer one.

Part number is 6L2Z-9B989-A I believe... which includes a new TPS and screws.

Chris

5.4L BTW

It would be great if it is covered under powertrain. I'll have to check on that.
