if that's all city, stop and go driving, then that seems about right.

I get 11.5 to 13 in the city, 17 to 19 highway.

5.4L, 3.73, 18" wheels.

based on that, it seems you should be around 15 or 16mpg, but driving upwards of 85mph will kill your gas mileage too.

Still breaking in...

Your truck is still breaking in. You will see the mileage go up over the first 5000 miles or so.

My truck (also a 4x4 with same engine, trans & gears) gets about the same with mixed driving after 4700 miles, but I am in NY where the cold weather and winter gas hurt the mileage. When I was around 1000-1500 miles, I was only getting 11.5-12.

I got 15-16 on the the couple of highway trips I have taken. I expect to see 15 or so consistently once it warms up around here and the winter gas is gone, and hopefully can hit 17 or 18 on the highway.

CJ - I live up on the Great Sacandaga - originally from Albany - neighbor!

I have 21,000 now and I am reaching 17-18 on the highway running my Edge on level 2....

My 2005 FX4 with 5.4 and 3.73 LS got around 12-13 new, once I got to about 6-7k miles, it went up to 14-15 depending on the driving. I am usually a mix of highway and town. I would say during the summer I average about 14.5, and about 13.5 in the winter.

That is almost identical to my driving, I get 16.5 to 16.8. If I go on the highway it is 19 mpg driving 75 to 85. I have the 5.4, 3.55s, 17 in wheels. Though I doubt they have an impact, I have a K & N drop in and a Flowmaster SIDO.

I should probably mention that it is a 4x4 lariat.....I just talked to the dealership and they thought it seemed a little low. The sales person I bought from has one with 1800 miles, K&N filter and exhaust. She is getting in the 16's.

Thats funny. The salesman that sold me my truck was running the K & N and exhaust and recomended that I do the same.
