What should I do to my truck?

I am coming into some money and im looking to do something to my truck. Im thinking of two things
1. Drop the rear down and put some 22'" chrome wheels on it
2. do a front leveling kit and put some 33" tires and keep the stock rims

what should I do I want my truck to look good and I think ill like them both. Im leaning towards the drop in the rear and the 22s but in not shore I have heard some bad things about leveling kits and I dont want to ruin my truck
Please any help would be great you can see some pictures in my gallery.

#2!!! surely you wouldnt drop an FX4 4x4

as for the joints- eh i've got a 2.5" AS on, and my truck lives a rough life- while i cant see my actual joints, the boots are still in perfect condition- a new upper arm & joint costs $82. to me its worth.

I'd do number 1.

I wish I could get my hands on some Harley or Roush rims.
But I don't think they would give them away for free

I'm a HUGE fan of the street truck look (see my gallery as an example) but I agree that lowering a 4x4 truck seems to be contradictory -- lift it!

I can't believe I'm saying that!

#2 Go with 33" tires.
But,If you decide to go with 22" wheels, you can sell me your stock wheels at a reasonable price.

You should add a number 3.... Make it look like kiCk ***'s truck. If your leaning towards lifting it.
That's a nice truck.

I just got a new truck. Originally I was going to put on a 2" AS, but have since decided to save up and put on a lift and 33s later on. I had a 2" leveling kit on my last truck, but want to go bigger this time.

I'd go with #1, but you should do whatever you like best and for whatever you plan on using your truck for. The lifts are cool.....been there done that.........but I don't get off road much anymore........and thats never serious off roading anyway. I got the 4wd for driving in the snow up here in WI. So while I'll probably catch heck, I see nothing wrong with dropping a 4x4..........just not too much. I am even looking at maybe a 2/4 front/back drop for my FX4.

Speedwolf, where you at in Wisconsin?

Get a Daystar 2.5" or the Autospring 2" or 2.5" spacer. If you want to keep stock wheels, go with 35" BFG M/Ts. But if your getting new rims, just get some 33" Toyo Open Country M/Ts. Either way it'll look bad-***!

Same thing here.......only have 4x4 for snow-ice, mild off road use (we live on a farm), pulling stuff when I need to and whatever else it comes in handy for. But I, personally, don't need the ground clearance or big tires and I do a lot of highway driving to work and stuff so halfway decent mileage is a plus too. I love lifted trucks, they look badass, but just not what I need and it looks like you are in the same boat. I pulled out the 4x4 blocks in the rear that all 4x4's have. It is as simple as getting a set of 2wd U bolts (2 inches shorter) or cutting yours off, and taking out the 2" block that is in the rear which will maintain your front 4x4 height, but get rid of the rake so wheels fill the wells better. Good luck on whatever you decide to do!

tires for 22"'s cost and you may not be in the $$ when tires go bald, and I'd never drop a 4X4
