I honestly couldn't tell you, I never installed them but I bought the kit cause you didn't have to use a spring compressor. From the directions, it doesn't look to hard.

u dont have to use a spring compressor to install leveling kits?

the guy at my local tire shop told me i did then went and try to charge me $250 to install it.. i talked him down to $200 so i guess it could have been worse

Right from the AS web site.

"No strut disassembly required. Other kits require you to completely remove the struts and disassemble them with a coil compressor tool (and it better be a heavy duty one cause the factory coils are stiff)."

If I'm right, the suspnsion sits a bit lower than the stock FX4, is that right?

If so, can I fit a 255 or a 265?
I think 235 is stock.

I have the 17" chrome rims.

Thanks in advance!
265/70/17 on my 4x2 2005 xlt. the 235 hankooks had to go! Fills it out very nice, no rubbing. Its plenty of rubber for the stock suspension.
Don't forget the speedometer correction -XCal2!

I'm a little late to this thread and I apologize. Here's my setup.

2004 4x4 XLT Screw.

33x12.5x17 ProComp All Terrains on 17x9 (4.5" backspacing) series 1079 wheels.

I've purchased my 2" AutoSpring but haven't installed yet. At full turn, the fronts just barely miss the inside wheel wells. It's less than 1/2" clearance.

I'm thinking either BF Goodrich TA/KO's or Bridgestone Revo's

Any comments on either?

I think I'll go with the 265/70/17's so I can keep my setup at stock for now...

I did not notice any power loss from going to the Revos, but like was mentioned, its not a drastic change, but enough to make it look much better. I also did the research on the Speedo change, and it was like 5% change. But I think the stock speedo calibration was off because mine is now dead on according to police radar checks.
