Edge Evo: has no tune

I got my Evolution yesterday. I updated on my PC first thing then plugged into my 05 5.4l. Promptly came up with some error immediately after the PCM read stating that my current programming is not supported. So I called Edge and they had me send in my report files and said that they will have a tune out on Friday.
I'm simply curious if anyone else has run into this problem and if so how it was resolved. Did they simply update their website with a new version or did they send you a personalized tune.

What is crazy is even though no new programming took place my truck was immediately more responsive after the failed programming. It sounds crazy but my truck ran better after the failed PCM read then it did 5 minutes before. Crazy but true.....

Same here... best investment made to date.

Last weekend I tried to move to Level 3 (filled the tank with 93 octane), but didn't notice any real difference to Level 2. Interestingly, my Edge tuner has never been upgraded and I'm wondering if this has something to do with this.

I'm going to try tomorrow's update and see.

Well this pisses me off now.
First their 04-06 f150 product wont work on my 05's current calibration. So they tell me there will be an update posted Friday to take care of the problem. Well friday comes and goes and now they just told me there wont be an update till possibly Monday.
Man a week is a long *** time to wait to get this thing working.

Its hard owning a new toy you cant play with. Grrrrr

Bummer I can only imagine your frustration. I want the Edge so bad but have to wait another month or so. I think it would be worse having it and still not being able to play with it than not having it at all. Anyways good luck and hopefully it'll work out soon.

That sucks, but..........you could always go out and run numerous performance runs in stock trim and get some good baseline data.

300. Plug the unit into your truck again. Let it read the hex code, do not install any programs. Make sure you have your stock tune in your truck, this is very important. After you get the hex code, plug the edge unit into your usb and look for updates. Than go ahead and try to reload to your truck. This may resolve your issues. It looks for updates specific to your truck, not the newest updates. I had the same problem with the unit I got and now am just waiting for adjustments to the #2 program. So far pretty impressed with level 3.

Thanks jersey51,
I've done that already. That's the point where I called the tech support finally. They confirmed I had the appropriate updates and had me send in the stock*.bin and vid*.bin so their engineer could look at it. Then a few hours later I got an email back stating that the engineer was working on the calibration and would have it updated on Friday. I certainly give them credit for working on the problem but honestly what else could they do, they have to support the product if it doesnt function. Now I wait 3 more days...

Anyways it's not really a big deal but it sure is frustrating to have it and still not be able to use it. Especially since I'm generally not a very patient person.

Just curious, do you know what the Hex code for your calibration is? I would think thatwith your truck being a 2005, that your calibration would be covered, unless you recently had it reflashed.
