Billet Tie Down Delete Kit.

Has anyone checked out the Billet Tie Down Delet Kit offered by Steeda (I put a pic of it in my gallery if someone wants to pull it out)?

I was curious of what you flareside owners thought since allot of us dont really care for them and rarely if ever use them. I personally like the Ford logo ones and having a silver truck think they would blend in ok.

Im sure you could even get them painted to match your paint for a cleaner look.

Just wanted to get your thoughts guys

uhhhh...if you're going to paint them, why pay for billet when you could just smooth and paint the factory pieces?

I actually have used mine, and they're pretty handy. With my True Blue/DSG, I wouldn't choose to go light colored with the billet, but on your silver truck the bling might do a lot to offset the black on the rails.

Well seeing as how they are billet has kinda steered me away from them. I will get the Ford ones and paint them black but not anytime soon.

I am taking mine off. I had a friend cut me some chrome/stainless pieces to fit in exactly where the hooks go. My truck is black with a lot of chrome which is the look I want.
I will check out the steeda hooks to see what they look like.I shouls havethem on next week and i will post some pictures ASAP.

I am almost 100% I will never use my tie downs and wish they were not even there from the get go but for a cheaper replacement for them and less expensive then filling in the tie down recesses, smooting and paint they might be a good alternative.

I wish the regular bed had higher tie downs similar to what ya'll have. Its a pain trying to get big loads strapped down.

Dude I dig it. I wish the tie downs were a option because I dont care for them. The fillers look good since you have chrome on there as well. Are you happy with it?
When you can could you email me a closer pick of the bed so I can get a better look at them please. You got the Ford logo ones? If you hook me up with a closer pic do it on the fuel door side so I can peek at your fuel door. Thanks dude.

Those aren't for me. Makes it look like something is missing? I agree the hooks are just about useless but i think i'll keep mine.

I dont think when Ford redesigned our trucks there was a huge demand for tie down straps but "only" on Flaresides were there? Stake holes would have been fine if anything. I guess I could hang grocery bags from them if the rest of my truck was full.
They should have left that part alone like with the previous generations. My opinion though.
