F-150 vs Turbo Civic Si

I took this race to the backcountry a little while ago. Thought someone might enjoy it. I have no idea what was in this Civic but I took pics. Obviously intake, turbo, etc. It was a pretty quick little car but took a while to spool up.

That's crazy... I can't believe you can take off on him that much. Although, it looked like maybe he was new to driving a stick? Or was your truck just that much faster off the line?

And what speed did he finally catch up? (About how far was the race before he had a chance... I'm trying to see if I would do better on 1/8th or 1/4 races in most cases).

cool, I went at it with one of them 2 weeks ago, quick sprint between exit ramps, he was on my a$$ up to 122 mph and we had to get off it because of upcoming traffic. Started at 60mph and he was right behind me up to 122. He did not have enough to make the pass ( I'm not sure if he was just content to ride my back bumper - the way he walked by you makes me think this was probably the case ) but I could not shake him. Found out my truck will wind out 3rd to 120mph then shifts into overdrive ! Not too bad at all for a 4x4 truck...

Those little cars have no low end thats why they always want to race from a roll.

Hey guys,
He is turbocharged, the very reason he finally was able to catch up and pass at one point when his turbo spooled up. I smoked him one race on camera but I forgot my memory stick and wanted to film a better race. He still struggled and he's not new to stick, he's just Turkish

About Vegas, I will let you know as soon as we decide (sorry). I am heading up there with a family member to go boardin as you know and we mentioned we may or may not make the trip. I will lean towards making the trip so I can hop in your beast. Whats the deal with 347rwhp, I thought you'd be making close to the upper 300's. Are you 4wd? Take care Jerry.

I would be embarassed if I was him, his car weighs literally half what ours do!

I'd like to see what he could do versus one of our supercharged buddies on here.

A Supercharger will definitely help my topend. I stop pulling so hard around 65mph. I'd say the second race was up to around 85mph, give or take 10.

Oh wow, I just remembered I have plans to install my lift on Saturday (I mentioned it last night on here). They are not concrete plans but I was counting on it. I don't think I will lean towards making the trip afterall, I really need to install my lift. Jerry, how are you making the trip back to Alaska. We are right in your path more than likely. I would not mind driving somewhere so we cross paths (closer than Vegas). Vegas is 4+ hours from me, I'm up near Sacramento (45min away). If you're taking a route that is in my general direction let me know, I'd really like to have a ride in your truck, maybe get a bite to eat and talk trucks. I met up with Eric (2005fx4) not too long ago to sell him my Maggie and race.

I love it

Little honda blows a a large amount of money on a turbo to just keep up with a truck. Thats like the stupid honda on pinks last night wanting a 20 car lead to race a TA.

They suck.

Josiah, I hit 347 at 4300 RPM, then the speed limiter stopped the run at 99mph. If we could of kept it going, we would of been in the 380-390 range easily. I am also 4 Wheel Drive, and with the extra weight, I'm surprised I was around the same power as the whipple truck.

The graph I have looks identical to Whipples, and they removed the speed limiter for their advertised dyno run. Pretty lame to spend $6500 to get a supercharger installed and my limiter went from the 105 range to 99mph. I'm trying to work with Whipple on removing or raising it, or I'll go get custom tuned if need be and up the psi to 10.

We are planning on heading straight north on I15 through Montana and up to Edmonton. It's about the same distance as going through California up to Seattle. We'll be towing a large trailer, so the hot rodding will be limited. Also, we have 4 days to go 3600 miles, so we'll be moving pretty good the whole time. Drop me an e-mail at arcticbowman@hotmail.com if you make it this way. I check it all the time. Hope we can hook up.
