seat heater recomendations

Those that have installed aftermarket seat heaters, what brand would you recommend? I'm getting ready to buy some so I can install them with my leather seat covers.

Red,
Trying to find out the brand that Tuscany used in my FTX, they have 2 temp settings and work great. Will get back with you when I find out hopefully later today.

I installed Check Corp seat heaters in mine. Take a look here

Others on this site have installed Heizgerat Setzt Seat Heaters that were purchased off ebay.

I also used the Check Corporation brand heaters. Came with a 3yr/36k warranty with them also. You can get 3 levels of features. I have the middle ones, with high/low heat settings. Here's where I had the switches installed.

I bought these:

http://www.heaterseats.com/products.php

Contacted them thru an ebay add and paid considerably less than the website price.

Haven't installed them yet.

Wow very factory looking...how do the pads get inside the seat? When you take the cushions off are they hollow, or something you kinda have to stuff in there?

I think you can get the check corp's that I have for $150 per seat. I had mine done for $250 / seat installed. I don't deal with wiring too well. I also had this done when I was going from cloth to leather also. Since he had to take the cloth off to have this done, I just had him put the leather back on, which he didn't and should not have charged any extra for. Worth it in my opinion. Plus since they came with the warranty, he is responsible for fixing them now.

The pads are taped or otherwise fastened to the top of the seat cusion and lie just underneath the upholstery. They aren't full of wires like old electric blankets, they're smooth and really seem like a thick piece of canvas, so you don't notice them when the seatcovers are on. The only wires are at the back of the bottom and the bottom of the back. Say that three times fast.

05RedFX4 - I looked at their ebay auction and they said if you order 4 or more sets they will give a discount. Have you ordered yet? If not, shoot me an email, and we can order together.
