I saw some duplicolor Vinyl paint HVP111 Charcoal Gray, at advance tonight and gave it a shot. Still does not match but does it look better than the original black pod? The cap looked much darker in the store:rolleyes: but the sheen is good.

Its in gallery under Mods.
\If anyone can post the two pics have at it. I forget how

Guys you know you can run down to your local Ford dealer and they have OEM interior paint that with match nuts on with your truck if give them the interior code in the door jam. Well, thats a great idea and all. However, when you do order the paint from your local Ford dealer, wait 2 weeks, and pay $20 only to find out its just plain ole' black. I was tired of the headache and it matches good enough for me, Im not trying to please anyone else but myself. ;)

For those of you who are talking about it, I mounted mine in the ash tray. You just have to remove the inside tray and it mounts pretty tight. I drilled a hole in the bottom for the cable. I mounted it this way because I have 9 months left on the warranty and don't want to mount it. I also have the spray from an auto body paint shop, and will try my hand at painting the pod later. I plan to do a write up when all is said and done.

Let me know if you need pictures, the nice thing is when I get home I close the ash tray and no one notices I have the edge. No pod showing and I can keep it closed when I don't want to see it. Like others have said I don’t smoke so this is empty space till I do the carputer down the road. The only down side I have seen is that when in park it is a bit hard to change but the benefits out weight the issues!

My friend has an edge in his cummins and he bought a bullydog mount that you glue to the windshield. Has anyone mounted thier like this yet? When I order mine that's one of the options I am thinking about instead of the suppplied pod.

Thanks,
