Would you say that the edge was worth it? I have an 4x4 05 STX and I didn't know if it would be worth putting the edge on there for?

Forget the power increase it provides for a second....all the other stuff it adds is 'worth it', in my opinion.

The power added is a bonus.

I absolutly agree,There are a ton of benefits for a reasonable price. The drive-ability alone makes it worth purchasing..

Oh and a point about octane,It cost 10 cents more for 89,20 cents more for premium{93 here}.So for 20 cents you get an additional 6 points and 10 cents gets you 2 points. It will be premium for me.

I would say its worth it for the guages alone, and DTC code reading. Not to mention speedo/tire calibration, and a 0-60 and 1/4 mile measure. STX's do not have a rpm guage, so now you get one of those too

I run mine on L3, but cut back the octane to 89 so I can run regular (87). I can tell a performance difference between 2 and 3 and I still get the same milage.

Most of the posts regarding Edge ownerships have complained of a lack of power AFTER updates, and they have noticed decrease in shift points and so forth. this has happened in the last couple of weeks. I just updated last weekend for 12 and now there is 14. Although some of the updates have been related to acceptingt newer vehicle calibrations, I have read where several members have noted a decrease in performance.Just taking from what I have read.

Have you followed the instructions that state......

"Make sure the key is on before connecting the Edge unit, otherwise the level 3 settings won't have an effect"
