Do different trim packages have different mirror sizes? Are the Lariat mirrors bigger than the XLT width-wise? Thanx

I think the mirror sizes are the same for the different trims unless you have the towing mirrors. I think I remember a while back someone said that one mirror was slightly bigger than the other, maybe the passenger side?? Can anyone confirm that?

the XLs have a different style mirror than the XLTs and up

The manual mirrors are a different design/size than the power mirrors. XLT on up should be the same size. STX and XL are the smaller ones. You can tell at a glance which ones they are.

e-bay. Or the classifieds here. The mirrors bolt right up. Power requirements are very light. You can buy (expensive) the harness, but it is very easy to fabricate with two small molex connectors (floppy power connectors).
The switch can be out of almost anything. I used a Ford switch that looks almost like the stock one. I have a half dozen leftover switches, the most expensive was about 10 bucks. Wire can be as light as 18 gauge.
The only hard part is routing the wires through the door jamb, and that is only on the few trucks with a white square block on the door wiring boot. On the trucks with the simple boot it is a snap.
Less work than power windows or power locks, and both those can be done in a mornings work.

pic from jmpancoast's gallery showing where he put his switch. If I was doing mine over, I would use his switch in my location.
