I've got a few stickers on my truck right now, but as I'm getter older, I really like the clean look of no stickers. Just my opinion.

Yeah, people get upset about anything these days. It's a shame that most are such cowards that they won't confront you...they choose to just do something to your property when you're not looking. I just think that putting anything on your vehicle that can incite any kind of response from another person is unnecessary. What are you trying to say with that sticker? I'm not offended by it at all, I see it and think "ignorance and lack of intelligence".

I just think it's funny that it's on a Mercedes. That really cracked me up. I must see it 100 times a day around here, but it's always on trucks and random other pieces of crap. Not a $50K SUV.

I know, I just can't stand the fact that people can be so stereotypical and think that just because someone has a Confederate flag sticker on their vehicle that they are some white trash. I guess I need to get my African American friend next to his big red Doge, since hes got a Confederate flag mounted in the bed.

If one person sees something and is offended by it, then it is offensive. It certainly is a symbol of history, but so is the swastika. The swastika is an ancient symbol that has been used for over 3,000 years. That even predates the ancient Egyptian symbol, the Ankh! Despite this, you don't see people putting the swastika on their cars. They don't because the ****'s used it and made it offensive. Many people feel that the confederate flag is offensive as well. I don't feel like the people who put it on their cars are rednecks. I just feel that they are ignorant and insensitive enough to put a symbol on their cars that, to some people, is offensive. If you don't think that there are some people who are offended by the confederate flag, you really are ignorant! If you know that there are people who are offended by it and still put it on your car, then you're insensitive.

Well I guess we are ignotorant and insensitve....We have one on our expeditions front plate. Its a commom site in the south. You have an opinion and so do I. I feel the same way when I see Fubu clothing. Everyone weres it but most people dont know what that stands for. I dont feel its nessisary to complain about it. Plus I hardly think this is the place for this discussion anyway.

I think I'll leave them on just because they do offend you! You just made my day, now go back to your trailer park!

Hmmm...what heritage was it that made such a symbol? I was borned and raised in the South so I've heard a lot excuses for keeping the confederate flag around.

Now, I'm not one to try to be PC just to keep from offending someone, but I don't think this part of the heritage of the Old South is something to be particularly proud of. I don't see how anyone with any knowledge of U.S. history over the last couple centuries could use the "heritage, not hate" line. As a southerner, I'm ashamed of the period of our heritage that led to the creation of such a symbol.

To try and keep this on topic...this is not a sticker I would put on my vehicle. However, I go to work everyday so I can have the freedom to state my opinion, and anyone else can have the freedom to put whatever sticker on their vehicle that they choose.

Very well said...I wasn't trying to impose my views on people, only saying what I think when I see that flag. I live in the south, but I wasn't born here. You really don't see much of that here in Nashville...maybe Tennessee is a little more progressive than the "deep south".
