37's on a 6" Fabtech!

Will the 6" fabtech at least clear 37's, I don't care if it rubs, as long as it's driveable for a little while. I can't get the 35's on 18's because the tire dept is out of them. I went down from 20's because I thought it may look wierd at the last minute while photoshopping a bunch of trucks. Anyways, my point is, is it at least possible. Anyone try? I just need them to fit until I can get the body lift ordered. I had to go up in tire size to accomodate the 18's. This is a serious question so if you are not very sure don't reply, my trucks driveability is riding on your say. Thanks.

I was looking for someone with the lift to respond, because I too doubt it, but it's certainly not a stupid question. I've seen someone stuff 35's (I think it was 35's) with no lift with floorboard trimming along with fenders. It was a project vehicle for a magazine, some of you may remember this. 37's with a 6" lift can't be that bad, but undoubtedly there will be rubbing until the body lift is put on. I am not going to offroad before the lift so there should be no reason why they would rub unless turning, hence my inquiry. If this is not possible, then I am forced to get the 35's on 20's. They are not a great choice for wheeling as I am often near rocks

They'll probally fit if you get a 2" Autospring and the 5" block for the rear.

What wheels and tires are you getting? This will be a big deciding factor.

18" Mazzi hulks on 37x13.5xR18 Grapplers. How much is the 5" block, I've had trouble finding that bastard. Fabtech should advertise it a bit more clearly, or maybe I'm a bit on the blind side, we'll see.

Definatly get the 2" or 2.5" Autospring. If you call Fabtech they'll be able to get the block for you.

As an alternative to getting the 5" block, it should be possible to use the stock 2" block (I believe it's 2") in the rear on top of the 4" included with the kit right? Also, I did not specify which color when I ordered it from sportstrailerz.com, I hope it comes in black by default. :o

Are you trying to hurt my feelings? If I could afford the Rise, that is what I'd have. If the entire lift kit is anywhere near $3k and requires no welding I'll cancel my current order for the 6" Fabtech.

Back to my original question: As an alternative to getting the 5" block, it should be possible to use the stock 2" block (I believe it's 2") in the rear on top of the 4" included with the kit right? Okay Josiah, are you getting the Dirt logic coil overs? If so then yes you can clear the 37's if not then no. If you want to cut the front chin spoiler on the sides and the fender flares in the back near the door, it will work as long as you dont turn it tio full lock. I was told by everyone from 4wheel parts to discount tire that 37's wont fit with a 6 inch, then I order the tires, lift ect. and after it was all installed, everyone says oh you could clear 37's if you crank the coil overs up a little and add an add a leaf. A 5 inch block and an add a leaf on a 3-4 inch block is the same thing. I would not run a autospring with a suspension lift if you are actually planning on using your truck.

My experience with lifts is close to nil, but I can tell you right now that stacking blocks on top of one another is a great way to get yourself hurt/killed and your truck totalled. If you are planning on 37 inch meats then plan ahead and DO IT RIGHT. Don't jury rig it because then you'll come on here bellyaching about how Fabtech sucks when you didn't install it properly. Case in point your repeated XCal2 complaints. Don't call me a 'Troyer boy' either, I have a Bamachips XCal2.

Unfortunately no, I am not doing the coilover's. So with an add-a-leaf and the 5" block they would fit. The 5" block is in the rear, and so are the add-a-leaf's. It would still leave the front as an issue, right.

Wow, ok. Don't bring baggage from another thread like that, many have requested how the experience with Troyer is going and I've posted about it so I wouldn't have to individually email them all. People bashed Freeky for posting about his mishap with Autospring, if you want to know both sides of the product then don't bash when people post about it
