35's with Leveling Systems ??
I've searched the threads and now need some pictures and honest pros and cons of using this size of tire with a 2" or 2.5" leveling kit.
Seems like allot of tire for not much lift, but in the pictures I did manage to find they look sweet !! Really change the stance of the truck. Any opinions or pictures would be great. Thanks :coffee: |
The subject has been brought up alot.
What size wheels do you have or what are you going to purchase? Some guys here report success with the factory 17's but most (maybe all) factory 18's are rubbing with 35's. 17's that don't rub https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...ghlight=35%27s 18's talking about rubbing https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...ghlight=35%27s |
Just be careful on the brand/type of tire.
There's no way to get something as aggressive as Nitto Grapplers or Toyo Open Countries to work with a leleving kit, but you could go with BFGs and be fine (for the most part). |
No problems. I've had them for about 25,000 miles. They wear better and ride better than my old tires...granted I had the cheap Generals from Ford.
You'll like them. More pix in my gallery. https://www.f150online.com/galleries...765-113338.jpg |
Currently have OEM 18's on an 05 Lariat 4x4. Was thinking about 17x9 aftermarket rims with a 5.5 or 6 inch backspace.

Thanks rojoscrewka05, can't wait to see your pics. Also let us know how that Truxx lift works out. A local shop here in town sells them for $500 installed. Seems pretty high priced for a leveling kit that a person could do for $100 plus the cost of a alignment. |
yea i plan on having on of the techs at my dealership install them for me for 50 bucks plus align it.But im really stooked on it.i like the look of the pics on there site with the f-150.looks nice. All the other kits dont look as good.but everyone says i over paid but we will see. Also does any one have a part # for the bilstien 5100 series for my ride
2wd crewcab,thanks |
Tuff Ford, any issues with running 12.5 wide tires with only 7.5 inch rims ? Everywhere I've looked it says 8 inch minimum.
I really like the look of your setup. |

If you want to run 35s on stock rims/leveling kit, I'd stay with a BFG tire. :fyi:

:fyi: The toyo oc's work fine on a leveling kit. Stock or aftermarket wheels. Check m y gallery. Had to do about 3 minutes of trimming with the aftermarket wheels. 0 trimming with the stock wheels
