A Call to 2005-2006 Lariat owners - Are 2nd Row Seat's Leather or vinyl?
Just a call out to 2005-2006 F150 SCrew Lariat owners. If the front seats are black leather trimmed captains chairs with flow-through center console options, are the back seats the same black leather, or vinyl? I know that FX4 rear seats are vinyl if the fronts are black leather captains chairs, but I can't confirm the Lariat?
Thanks,
JSB

Scab or Screw?
Looks like Scabs have all vinyl and Screws have leather in center patches only, according to this thread found using search.

Either way, keep using that 303 Aerospace Protectant and you'll have soft supple seats forever.

Here is what it says in the order guide that I have for the 2006's, The date on this guide is 5/16/05.
Seats (Rear)
"SuperCab/SuperCrew only. 60/40 Flip-up Split Seat. Rear Seat Fabric matches Front Seat (when Leather Trimmed Front Seat is Ordered on SuperCab and /or FX4 SuperCrew Rear Seat is Premium Vinyl). SuperCrew Lariat includes second row folding armrest."
Does this make sense to anybody?

No chance!
My back seats in my Screw feel/look identical to my front seats. Same grain, same texture, same everything.

Here's an easy way to see if its leather or vinyl. Push into the seat with your thumb, if it looks like small cracks coming out from where your thumb is its leather, if not its vinyl. All leather on a seat is very rare. It is usually the first thing cost reduced out of a seat, my guess is that only the insert is leather on the front seats, the bolsters and everywhere else including the rears will be vinyl.
Ok, I am going to have to say that only the front seating surface is leather, everything else is vinyl.
I just went out and checked mine, even though they appear the same, I can definately feel a difference between the front seating surface and the sides, and the rear seat feels just like the front sides. The front seat surface definately has a softer feel to it.
I also performed another "scientific" test with my nose. The front seat surface smells like leather, whereas the back seat does not!

Can you do it again and post a pic for us?

I did the same thing DougS!
The back seat definitely smells like vinyl and I'd rather not say what the drivers seat smelled like after Mexican food lunch!
