Rancho Triple X

I'm thinking about putting these on my truck to level it off instead of the daystar or autospring kits. I did a search but didn't find much. Does anyone have these? How is the ride compared to stock, and how much did they run you?

I don't think anyone here has them, but they should be a great upgrade.

I just got mine in and I am ready to get them installed. If you do a search on rs99768 you will pull up some info on them on this site. Every one that has had them have had good luck. They are worth the money.

Question Question

Okay, don't laugh because this may be a stupid question...

When you replace the front coilovers, do you re-use the spring that is compressed as part of the coilover shock? ...or do they come pre-loaded with a new spring already attached?

I'm just curious to see if this is a basic "drop-in" install or whether you need special tools like a spring compressor.

Also, how are the triple X's priced?

Pretty sure you re-use your spring, just on top of a movable perch.

I'm pretty sure they come without the spring, you have to install your factory spring. I would much rather use these than the spacer to lift my front end, depending on how much they cost.

So you can use these to gain up to 2.5" in the front but can you gain any height with the rear shocks?

No, the rear shocks are the regular RSX shocks. The only way to gain height in the rear is to add a lift block, add-a-leaf or new lift springs.

I made a few posts on the great ride and quality of these shocks. They ride better when you replace the rear also, and the install is easy as long as you have "HEAVY DUTY" spring compressors. I used 2 sets on each one to be safe. Pics in the gallery. After I get back from travel I will take some better shots. I would use the matching RS9000's in the back also. Try these threads for some more info. Good luck.

Thanks for the links, I saw two prices posted one for $103 and the other $193. I wonder if the $103 was for the right shock.

I am interested in this. Does anyone know is this will add any stress to the front end?

I'm interested also. I've heard some pretty good things so far from people who have put these on. I started one of the threads in the links above. I've almost convinced myself.

That seems like a better alternative instaed of using a spacer.

I'm wondering if that with these shocks you don't have to worry about the upper control arm rubbing on the spring like some people had with the coil spacer? Maybe someone can post a picture of how it looks installed?
