edge splash screen

Has anyone tried to change the edge splash screen? Every time I try it tells me that image must be black and white, even though it allready is b/w.

Please email me it. I've tried to make my own, but just like the original poster has said the Lightning software says I must use black and white, and it IS black and white golldarn it!

:edit: I just saved your .gif and converted to .bmp in Photoshop, and it still says it's not B/W. I THINK it has to be a 1-bit image, but Photoshop only gives the option of 4-bit when I "save as" .bmp.

Thanks very much to you and the guy and the other guy that emailed me. I made one with a reversed logo. Finally figured it all out, and got it uploaded.

:edit: Just whipped up a Ford Racing logo....

Once they told me to open it in MSpaint, and save it as a monochrome .bmp (top of the list) it was easy.

Did a couple more...

Nates06SCab, Good work. I didn't know if anyone had mentioned that you can use MS Paint to do these or not. It's included with every copy of windows so anybody should be able to do these. Does anyone know how to get the original "Evolution" splash screen back?

Thanks for the screens KD4
As for getting the evolution screen back, as long as you never deleted out of the splash folder, I would think you just reload it?

If you look in the Edge Products folder that was created when you loaded the Lightning software (C:\Edge Products..if you picked the default location) there is a folder named Edge Evolution. In that folder there is a folder named Splash....in that folder is the original splash screen. They also have splash screen bitmap of a truck doing a burnout and one that is just blank. Hope this helps.

The original screen is not there. The one in the splash folder says EDGE Products, not Evolution. I was just curious in case I wanted to go back. No big deal.
