A question for Edge users......

I ordered mine yesterday (TRP - $339 delivered), and I have read the online owners manual. How long does it take to switch from one tune to another? Do you turn the engine off? Can you change with the engine running? If I'm running the Tow tune, and I can't resist gettin' on it a little, how fast can I switch to performance tune.......... by the way, I use 91 all the time........... puttin' it in the ashtray is cool https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...7&page=2&pp=15 I wish I had one.

Hi.

Good price.

Engine needs to be off. See page 12, item #3 in the onlne manual.

This is the cae for any flash programmer for Ford OBD-II PCM's.

Good luck.

My wife and I went to dinner last night. When I got back in the vehicle I turned on the ignition, (no start) and reprogrammed my unit. It takes me longer to scroll through the menu making selections than what it take for the actual loading of the program. Total time maybe 2 minutes. I have done it playing around and just pull to the side of the road, turn off vehicle, switch on, reprograme. Just that simple. You can reset your display options on the fly without turning off the vehicle.

Trust me. You will like this unit!

When I filled up the truck with 93 octane last night I had reverted to stock beforehand. It took about 3 minutes to apply level 3 with shift point, rear axle ratio, and tire size tweaks while I sat there at the pump. The guy in line behind me was pissed, but I had no choice but to sit there while it did its thing. I was expecting less than 30 seconds, so 3 minutes was a shock. However I have been thrilled with the results. If I was a baller I'd do 93 every time, but I had to try it just once to the tune of $65 dollars for a tank full.

MAN do I wish I had heard this before I ordered the programmer, but the code is "eef2400jan06" for $339. I paid $365 last Friday. I'm just sick about that.

If you load the "canned" tunes it only takes about 30 seconds.

If you want to switch between custom tunes, use the "Load Previous Settings" to speed things up.

Truck Racing Products has a one year low price gaurantee, call 'em and ask for the coupon deal at the lower price. I'd be surprised if they didn't sweeten your deal........

hmmm... tried to use the coupon but it's not good now until the 20th of Jan 06.. (thru the 25th)....

saw this at their site also, not sure what it means...

"2) If you use PayPal (available only on TotallyCustomTruck.com - not available on TruckRacingParts.com), we will deduct 3% of the total sale from the coupon before we process your credit; "

does this mean 3% off $404.10 and then 101.10 off using the code?

if so , the price would be $290.88 shipped!!! i might have to call them to find out.....

anyone else calculate it that way?
