Downloadable from their site? Does the unit come with software for my PC?

Don't tease. If that's true Edge again makes me do this:

The unit does not come with the PC software (called Lightning), you have to download it from the EDGE website. It is free. The updates to the Evolution are accomplished using the Lightning software. The sotware is free as are the updates.

I'm happy, I won't need to buy a Scangauge. Now my lowly FX4 can have some of the Lariat features!

There are several picture in the original group purchase thread. Be warned, that thread is lllonnnng. You don't have to wait to buy one, the update will be distributed via the Lightning PC software.

Hey kd4crs,

You sound pretty confident about this update including the instant MPG reading. Can you tell us what you heard and who you heard it from? Thanks!

I'm lucky if I can get over 13......

I have a 50lb weight stuck to my right foot with the level 3. Its just too much fun to lay off the gas!

I was contacted directly by an engineer at EDGE. I would rather not publicly name the individual to keep him from being deluged with emails, questions, and requests. He was kind enough to let me know they are going to add these features in response to customer requests. I just wanted to let the folks here know what is coming.

Sounds great! I just wanted to get an idea of the veracity of your statements... I can't wait!

Thanks! I just got off the phone with the Edge customer service. He confirmed black only on the pod. He also said there will be more functionality in the future, beyond the milage and idle.........all at no charge if you have a PC and can download. I'm gonna' order up!

CCRider,

Did you see the latest TRP coupon? Use "eef2400jan06" and it will save you more than the regular "edge" coupon. It is actually pretty close to the group buy price.
