Smile Best Tuner???? (Opinions Please)

I need help deciding on a tuner. I have the 4.6L. If you can give me some opinions, I would appreciate it. (Also, is it even worth the money on the 4.6)
THANKS

go to the tuner section and search. Not many work with the 4.6, I think I may be way off base so just search for the right answer.

Amd welcome if it has not been extended!!!

I'm currently trading in for an XCal2 with BamaChips.

Diablo by Hypertech?, the SuperChips 1714 & the Edge are good 'canned' tuners as I hear.
I believe the Edge is more customizable than the SuperChip 1714 & Diablo, but will not show the same results as the XCal2. The Edge tuner is currently the buzz on the forums.

Another thread shows numbers (believe it or don't, its all up in the air) that say the XCal2 tuning from Troyer makes your truck a bit quicker off the line (1 second or so in the 1/4mile). That was w/a 5.4l FX4 though

Dont be so quick to say the troyer is better than the edge. The edge just showed me a 6.8 in 0-60 in my Screw FX4, not bad for a big ole' 4x4.

What level were you guys playing with? Custom settings? Now you have to see how it does against a ram or titan!!

The one thing i want to say is that My truck doesn't have the intake that his has when he ran that time. And we ran one of his programs in my truck with lower octane fuel and i don't know where mine is set at exactly. We adjusted some levels in his program where we didn't have are facts to say that they were safe. I was running a lower octane fuel with an advanced octane level programmed. After those runs the edge did squeek better, 0-60 runs than my tuned xcal. But there is reason to believe that my tuner was set up different due to my DMV intake mod that i wrote down on my sheets. So all in all buying a tuner is a plus to owning a ford truck, It comes down to the fine tuning.... What is safe? I paid Troyer to do mine, i can sleep tonight knowing that he knows his stuff, or i can take a chance in buying whatever ...and programmming it myself and??????? It appears to me that any programmmer can change your trucks performance, but it's the knowledge behind it's where it counts... AMEN.....

you can go with the xcal2 or edge as they seem to be the best 2 available.

The EDGE is the best one for ME. It has the most functionality for the money and the performance gains are good enough for me. Also EDGE contacted me and they are releasing an update soon that will add instant MPG (similar to Scangauge) to their display parameters, and idle speed adjustment will be added also.
