Top 5 Mods for new F-150??

Hey to all! My Christmas present is in need of some new stuff...and since I am new to this forum, I figured I would see what the consensus says. I pulled the intake silencer last night, and am planning on a spray-in soon. I would like to upgrade the audio system (non-Audiophile.) Any suggestions??

it depends what kind of things you like to do, there are many sites that specialize in our trucks

www.f150store.com
www.jusnesmodified.com
www.troyerperformance.com

are you going for performance or what? the very first mod i would do is to get some sort of flasher or programmer. then level it, whether you go up or down, doesnt matter

give us some more info on your plans, im sure we can help

I would like to get a programmer, and I have been trying to get through ALL the posts as to what suggestions people have (ie: Hypertech, Superchips, etc...) Also, I have read some on the leather seat covers some have done...

Well I'm partial, but there are plenty of the Harley stuff going on, i.e. Head Lights, Tail Lamps, Grill, a lot of folks have been doing console conversions, I.E XLT, Flow thru, and some converting from column shift to center shift. What else, leveling kits and tuners are pretty hot as well.

whatever kind of tuner you get, youll want a custom tuned one, plenty of people offer them, its just not worth buying off the shelf tunes anymore

If you are looking for a programmer it seems Edge and Troyers xCal2 are most popular.

For the sound system you can add an 8 or 10 inch sub (or 2 subs) under the back seat if you have a Scab or Screw. You can run an amp off your factory head unit using a Line Output Converter. You might also want to upgrade your door speakers. Almost any aftermarket brand is going to sound better than factory.

Also post pics of your truck for all to see and again after each mod.

How far do you want to take it....the sky is the limit pretty much with audio systems. You can go with a simple add on Sat tuner or go really as far as you imagination will take you. Its not really a question of what you want but how much do you want to spend...then allocate that amount to the areas where it offers the most improvment.

I don't think performance is at the top of the list or you wouldnt have went with a Scew with a 4.6L...so put your money in other mods that will give you the most bang for the buck.

Performance would be great, but driving 60 miles a day really put that on hold. The truck definitely beats the Thunderchicken that I was driving I have looked at the Troyer website...does he alter the Superchips tuner? Or is it a separate tuner all together? Also, any suggestions on HARD tonneau covers?
