I hope I haven't caught the performance bug...

I had a couple of Ram's I modded kind of heavy with a lot of performance add ons and IMO it was kind of waste of money....they were still trucks and still slow (that being said...I had a Corvette, then a Camaro SS and finaly a WS6 Trans Am at the time I had the Ram's so slow was relative). When I bought my F150 I said OK I am leaving it stock performance wise. Well I got an Airrade a while back because I liked how it looked at shows compared to stock and I got a heck of deal on it. I went almost a year with no other performance mods...the Edge came out and I just had to have one because I really liked how it looks. Seeing everybody talk about the performance gains got me thinking....hmmm I really do need to help the exhaust out, so I just bought a Banks Monster Exhaust kit. I love the single in single out design with the big tip...plus from reading reviews it seems to be fairly aggressive sounding and loud. At any rate...close to a grand in upgrades in the last week is not a good sign...I need to go to a support groupe like AA or something. I sure hope when I get these installed really get the bug and ditch the 24s and a get a Rousch!

Actually I submitted a low "Best Offer" on Ebay for the Bank's kit and didnt think they would take it, but they did. I think I am happy about that. :o

Hi, ...my name is Jason,...and I am an F150aholic.

I feel the same way, Edge last Thursday, Flowmaster exhaust Saturday, and Volant CAI yesterday. I drove it stock for a year and a half then dropped a grand in the last 5 days.

I went from nearly a full bolt on truck, to just dropping 4large on a polished vortech aftercooled setup.

I promised myself I would just stay "full" bolt on untill the I graduated college. Oh well.

Well I wasnt even going to go there....stereo, HR monitors, grilles, HD like headlights, bed cover, window tint, train horn, XLT console conversion, Optima battery, 4wd tow hooks, backup camera, drop shackles....and thats just the stuff I can think of right off hand. I wasnt trying not to mod...just not to do performance mods. But I guess performance mods are all thats left...then it will be time to trade again!

Oh yeah...almost forgot about a little over $5K for tires and rims...

I'm in the process of refinancing my house right now, so I'm sure I'll have some performance mods coming in a few months. Only thing is that once I start, I'm don't know where it will end.

Me too. I plan on graduating in December and I'm already looking into every possible way to get money to supercharge it..

Only other bolt-ons I could do would be headers and maybe an ignition upgrade....

Looking into maybe a higher stall torque converter.. Also looking into a Factory Tech seperator plate...

I have so much on my mod plate it aint even funny... my poor bank account doesnt know whats about to hit it.

I have been wanting to get a new verter myself. Ill see what comes frist though, short block or verter

I'm not going to mess with factory tech v-bodys. Although im sure people will say WTF to that statement, i'm really not that impressed with them for the added cost from me just getting a good shift kit. I dont mind the neck snapping shifting

I've been running through alot of options.

Been thinking about waiting another year or so without mods and saving... by that time, I should have enough to start tearing into the engine and building it up and adding a blower on top...

Only time will tell what I decide to do next.

RAM: You need to just break out the plastic and buy a Supercharger... just do it...

Addicting!

Performance modifications are addicting like drugs!

My Mustang has 1000hp and I can't stop trying to find more. I drive a pickup truck every day because if I drove anything faster I would be arrested. I keep waiting to grow out of it but it doesn't seem to happen.
