the interior condensation problem

I posted about this problem a while back, now I think I've got some conclusions about where the problem is. Seems like whenever I leave my sunroof shade closed, the truck gets serious condensation built up in it regardless of the weather. It causes all the windows to condensate on the inside. Just last night I had it closed and drove it out. Got back in it late last night to come home, and the truck was condensating inside. I opened the shade and the serious condensation on the inside of the sunroof was already frozen! So the conclusion is that every time I leave the shade open....no problems. But closed, a lot of condensation. What would cause this to be such a problem? Do you guys think it sounds like a seal in the sunroof is faulty or what? If so, do the dealers have some sort of tester they can use to find faulty seals/weatherstripping or what?

Interesting.

I just noticed over the weekend the same thing. There was condensation on the headrest rails, and the window.....All the windows were closed up tight? I don't have a clue and I hadn't witnessed this till recently.

To test for leaks, put some soapy water around the sunroof (might want to check that 3rd brake light too) and close all windows and doors with the fan on high. Bubbles = leaking air. Anywhere you have an air leak you may have a water leak as well.

Wink

Unless you just washed your carpet, you have a water leak someplace.
Open the moonroof and pour water in the channel and wait to see if it comes in down the "A" pillar trim.
